Online Filing Workshops
The State Auditor's Office is excited to bring back the popular annual report filing workshops. These workshops are designed to help local governments file their annual financial reports, and to meet the statutory requirement of submitting the report within 150 days of the close of their fiscal year. New this year, laptops will be available at the trainings for participants to use. If you are interested in this option, please select a one-hour time slot for an appointment with a Local Government Support Specialist when you register. If you bring the materials you need to file your report, you may be able to complete and file during your appointment.
You can view our scheduled locations and register (via Eventbrite) for the workshop nearest you.
only register one attendee from your organization for a one-hour time slot.
This year we are offering more personalized assistance rather than the 4-hour
training sessions we have held in previous years.
If you have any issues with registration or other questions,
please contact Heidi Walter at 360-725-5621.
We value your opinions. Each year we offer free, three-hour roundtable discussions across the state (running early October - early December) on our Budgeting, Accounting and Reporting systems (BARS). Roundtables for 2017 will be scheduled and posted in September.
These BARS Roundtables are designed to listen to your feedback and suggestions and to make changes that we all will benefit from in the BARS. We also discuss the progress made on last year’s recommendations, such as upcoming changes in BARS (including online filing), the new Financial Intelligence Tool (FIT), upcoming GASBs, and introduce some new resources available to you.
