Our Audit Work
The State Auditor's Office conducts financial, accountability and performance audits of state and local governments in Washington. We also audit certain federal funds given to state and local governments. Those audits are called Single Audits and are conducted at the same time as an entity's regularly scheduled financial audit.
The State Auditor's Office also conducts investigations from state employee whistleblowers, our Citizen Hotline and frauds in state and local governments.
